Patrick Bateman: He's the og Sigma male!
Arthur fleck: did you know we live in a society?
Everyone is their own little world. We don't see the world objectively, we see through our own messed up lenses, our own unique cracks and smudges, and wears and tears, sometimes we see everything beating us down and sometimes we ourselves as the one above it all. We viewers are blessed to see the fiction we watch through an objective lens, but sometimes we are taken through someone else's messed up lenses, and then we just don't know what to believe.
Before we start
For Patrick we are using the original book the movie and the musical. We believe the movie and book to be equally canon and not that different and for why we used the musical uhhh well who doesn't like musical? There's also a comic series that we were gonna use as it takes place as a sequel to the movie but we couldn't find scans so like pretend it doesn't exist.
Background
Patrick Bateman
Imagine for a second, you are part of the high society, a fancy office office job, debating over who's business card is better, and you see a suited man and give him a hand shake, but while you may feel his flesh gripping your's he simply isn't there. This man is Patrick Bateman, and through the fancy clothes and great music taste, hides a man with a potential kill count beyond your typical slasher. Killing since college, Bateman has never been caught, but at least he's ending homelessness....by killing every homeless man and their dog he can find. One day his blood lust might have gotten too big, getting in a huge shoot out and killing many in public, Bateman knew he was done for, but when he got into work the next day, no one knew Bateman was the best serial killer to walk the earth, or maybe not a single thing was real.

Picture this, your mother is dying, you're working for a dying industry nobody appreciates, and live in a world where the rich push down on those truly needing, longing for Golden days that were, simply put, never there to begin with. If you really put that picture to paper, you'd get Arthur Fleck. A sickly man with nobody able to treat him, put in a world which shuns the outcasts, after a series of many, many bad days, Arthur finally snapped. Although it's hard to truly pinpoint where his downward spiral really began, it's end result is clear, it created the Joker. After finally making it up to his dream gig with Murray Franklin, he let loose, putting a bullet into Murray's head, killing both the talkshow host, and putting the final nail in the coffin for poor old Fleck. Finally realizing his life's true genre, the Joker came into this world with flashy lights and even flashier colors.
Intelligence and skills
Patrick Bateman
Patrick didn't get where he is as a dumby. Hes been killing since college and has a body count reaching a hundred yet still was yet to be caught. He was able to know when he was followed and he was able to hold his own in a police shoot out and knows how to use many different weapons even aiming a chainsaw to fall just right to hit someone he also keeps a healthy routine to keep in shape
