R.O.B.: Nintendos Robotic Operating Buddy!

The Hornet: Segas TRUE fastest mascot 

Every fighting game should have a weird pick and no one shows that like these two! These two really show that you can make anything work if you really want! But don't think fighting games are all they have! From Mario kart to Sonic and Sega all stars racing from Wario Ware to a comic anthology these two might just suprise you with how much they can do!

Before we Start 

For this we will be using basically everything they've been in although we won't be counting everything as canon unless there's evidence or a reason. For example smash is pretty clearly not the canon versions of characters so R.O.B. won't be scaling to canon joker or anything but as R.O.B. cameod in an official mario kart mainline game he would get that scaling. Also there are things we just can't go over we're doing this for fun we don't have a budget there's things we know exist but can't access I wish we could do more but hey what can ya do.

Background 

The hornet 

Imagine for just a moment you're at the arcades filled with noise and lights but one thing booms above the rest......Doot do-doot do doot-do doot-do do dooooooo DAYTONAAAAAAA! This racing game is more realistic than any other! Well for the 90s atleast but no car compares to the main one The Hornet who some how got into a fighting  game which had its own comic anthology and separate comic series all still having this car because of course. 

R.O.B.

Imagine if you will you're a wee little tot in the ages before the x boxes and the Playstations when People would throw any bullshit gimmick at the wall for your money and one of their best creations R.O.B. for the NES and a whole 2 games. Yeah he didn't do much before getting thrown in the bin but hey atleast the bin is still somewhere to be and from out of that bin he rises as he gets put into tge biggest gaming crossover ever SUUUUUPER SMMMMMASH BROTHERS! 

Intelligence and skills

The Hornet 

It's a fucking car what do you want me to say it's smart enough to race good? Well there is abit more he's went up against actually martial artists in a straight up fast fight and won. And while yes he races good he is also able to dodge all kinds of actual weapons while still winning a race not to mention he can also be a plane and while racing and attacking. 

R.O.B.

Alright being in probably the biggest video game crossover obviously means R.O.B. has held his own against some tough foes from God's to martial artists and beyond that uhhhhh he can play a children's game I guess.

Equipment 

The Hornet 

Tires

He has extra tires for replacing as he is a car 

Blowfish 

Fishy  it can be set as a mine or thrown but no matter which it'll slow down the opponent and blow up 

Ice Cannon 

Snowballs that freeze your opponent 

Boosts

Boost it increases speed

Firework

It's a firework it destroys shields and if it doesn't hit a shield it stuns ya 

Glove

It blocks and deflects projectiles 

Hotrod

Even greater speed Boost plus cool flames that hurt and slow people 

The Drone

Sends out a mini little car that blows up at people 

BEES

These bees are wild they kinda just stop the opponent and also sets up bee Traps 

Twister

It hits your opponent and flips their control and is also a fucking tornado 

R.O.B.

Timer

A classic stop watch that slows down time but it does have potential to back fire and slow down the user

Black hole 

It's a black hole around like 2 times the height of guy not much to say

Special Flag

It gives you an extra life although it takes abit to activate it and you can't do anything during that time 

Healing items

There's alot of ways to heal from food that heals to a healing field to a little orb that heals whoever it's stuck on although the field can heal the opponent too and the orb can easily stick to the opponent too

Death's sytche

Instantly kills the opponent although the opponent needs to already be pretty heavily damaged to work 

Super and poison mushrooms 

Super mushrooms make you big poison makes you smol 

Lighting bolt

It turns your opponent small and is also lightning 

Ramblin' Evil Mushroom

You can spray people and mix up their controls

Metal box

It turns you metal although I thought R.O.B. already was metal in smash so I guess more metal????

Pow block 

It shakes le screen

It freezes people

Nut(oh also it stuns people)

It makes tornado

Reflects projectiles

It turns you into a bullet bill that's stronger and faster

It sends out smoke out hard to see when there's smoke

 Now this is a tad shaky but the team felt the Need to bring it up for you own opinion 

Now in sonic and sega allstars racing the x box avatar is stated to outright be the player just an avatar that can  be altered remade and restarted it can be assumed this correlates too all characters including the Hornet/AGES

In sega mega mix characters bean and bark appear a character from sega megamix also appears in the archie comics implying that's where this bean and bark are from

In the megamix comic bean can survive a bomb

In the archie base sonic characters who have uni shit along with plenty of immeasurable/infinite stuff 

The hornet has also fought many beings that are above the game seeing it as fiction from Danica Patrick to yogscast to even the x box avatar this would normally quantify as 5D

In the end this was an interesting match cause really the winner depends on what you buy for boths scaling as either way one will stat stomped but in the end their were some factors that led us to a discussion while both had potential too be Imortal hornets is shaky and R.O.B.s is limited and very easy to stop so while shaky Hornet does have the potential to stalemate with a stat gap while R.O.B didn't really have that luxury along with the staff mostly buying Hornets high tier arguments the winner was decided
